PRODUCTION: Jivan Avetisyan Completes Armenian/Cypriot/Lithuanian Revival Starring Armand Assante
Cyprus 02-12-2025NICOSIA/VILNIUS: Armenian director Jivan Avetisyan has just completed his Sci-Fi drama Revival / Veratznvantze. The international cast of this Armenian/Cypriot/Lithuanian coproduction is led by Armand Assante (USA), Robin Hairabian, and Clémence Baudouin (France), Maia Morgenstern (Romania), Heino Ferch (Germany), and Babken Chobanyan (Armenia).
ZAGREB: Croatian director Goran Dević is in postproduction with his long documentary New Life / Novi život. This is his 13th film which he is making with producer Hrvoje Osvadić of 15th Art Production. Their most recent film, Pavilion 6 (2024), has been the first Croatian film ever acquired by the BBC.
VALLETTA: Jamie Vella’s new film Island of Oblivion had its world premiere in competition at the 17th Prishtina International Film Festival, continuing its cycle of film screenings.
ZAGREB: Croatian director Laura Pascu's feature film Between Us / Među nama has been completed and is awaiting its premiere. The film was backed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC).

VILNIUS: The national premiere of Lithuanian director/writer Andrius Žemaitis’s debut feature Tabasco will take place on 14 November 2025 in the competition programme of the Scanorama Film Festival (6 – 23 November 2025).
TALLINN: FNE spoke to Nikolaj Nikitin, curator of Critics’ Picks Competition Programme at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), about the selected films, jury and geographical diversity of this year’s event. The 29th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will be held 7–23 November 2025.
