SARAJEVO: Bosnian director Dino Mustafić is currently in production with the TV miniseries Armbands, about the massacre in Prijedor. He will start shooting a feature film with the same title and the same cast & crew in the spring of 2026.

SARAJEVO: With over 102,000 domestic admissions, The Will by Mirza Begović has greatly surpassed the success of Begović’s Amanet, which was 5th most watched film of 2022 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SARAJEVO: Prominent Bosnian producer Damir Ibrahimović passed away suddenly on 9 October, at the age of 60. Ibrahimović was best known for producing the Oscar-nominated film Quo Vadis Aida? directed by Jasmila Žbanić.

SARAJEVO: Wind, Talk to Me / Vetre, pričaj sa mnomby Serbian director Stefan Đorđević received the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Feature Film at the 31st edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (16 - 23 August 2024). The film is a coproduction between Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia.

SARAJEVO: Bosnian director Mirza Begović is presently shooting The Will / Testament, a sequel to his debut feature Father’s Last Wish / Amanet, which was a massive theatrical success in 2022.

SARAJEVO: After years of waiting for The Lake / Jezero (SCCA/pro.ba) by Timur Makarević, which was supposed to be the first Bosnian horror film, it seems that Adnan Hrustemović’s debut feature Evil Eye / Zlo oko will take that title.

SARAJEVO: Three Kilometers to the End of the World / Trei kilometri până la capătul lumii by Romanian director Emanuel Pârvu, received the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Feature Film at the 30th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (16-23 August 2024).

SARAJEVO: With 4,512,856 EUR / 8,826,380 KM gross and 1,284,834 admissions, the cinema market in Bosnia and Herzegovina saw a 20 percent increase in revenue in 2023 and 15 percent increase in attendance compared to 2022.

SARAJEVO: The Acting Members of the Board of Directors of Film Fund Sarajevo have annulled their funding decisions taken in 2023 and opened new calls following a decision of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SARAJEVO: After a 20-year-long hiatus, Bosnian director Dino Mustafić, whose debut film Remake (Refresh) won a Special Mention at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2003, is currently in production with his second feature. The Pavilion / Paviljon is a coproduction between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia and Croatia, starring well-known actors Rade Šerbedžija, Miralem Zubčević, Mirjana Karanović and Ermin Bravo.
